Art Deco

With this aesthetic board being the first of its kind, it is the definition of experimental. To me, ‘experimental’ means new, exciting, and maybe even obscure. I am drawn to the Art Deco era of the early 20th century, especially the height of the 1930’s, for this reason. Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent film, Metropolis, comes to mind, and I’m in love with the grandeur of the futuristic story and setting. From architecture to fashion — the curved lines, geometric intricacies, and imaginative views of the future found within the Art Deco style makes it artistically fascinating and aesthetically timeless.
